KENILWORTH, NJ - Council President, Linda Karlovitch has received notification from PSE&G that the long awaited replacement of street lights on Fairfield Avenue and Faitoute Avenue are finally being erected. There is one street light that is being fixed on Fairfield Avenue around the corner of Michigan Avenue that is broken, and two new lights are being put up on Faitoute Avenue that came down during Hurricane Sandy.

“The lights have been out since Hurricane Sandy" Karlovitch stated. "In the bureaucracy of a public utility, I have learned the lesson that repetition and persistence is necessary.  The reality is that this area is being shorthanded in terms of public safety. I am convinced that these lights will make a difference.”

The lights are expected to be installed by early next week.
