KENILWORTH, NJ – The Brearley Bears Girls Varsity Soccer Team will be play Roselle Park in the quarterfinals of the North two group one state tournament Friday, November 1. The game was postponed from yesterday to today because of field conditions. This is a very important match for the team because if they win, they will move onto the semi-finals. If they lose, the season is over.
The Bears are currently ranked second in their section. The team beat Roselle Park the first time they played them during the season and tied to them 0-0 in double overtime last week. “Today we need a winner so if the game is tied again we will go into overtime” head coach Michelle Ventura stated. “I’m hoping we can put the game away before that though. We won our division which Roselle Park is in and now are looking to clench the title in our state section.”
The games takes place at 2:00 p.m. at Wheeler Park in Linden.
