KENILWORTH, NJ – After a victorious matchup the Bears Varsity Soccer Team beat Union Catholic 4-1 last Thursday on the home field. The team is now 9-3-1. “In the game against Union Catholic, which was senior night, the team had a very successful outing” head coach Vincent McGowan said.

Highlights of the game include Andy Morales scoring off of a set piece taken by Brayan Martinez. Union Catholic tied the game when a player from Union catholic headed the ball in from a corner kick. In the second half the Bears scored goals by Johnny Sousa, Dylan Sousa, and Igor Santos. McGowan states “both of Brearley‘s goalkeepers had excellent games including senior Trevor Strigler who played the first half and junior Daniel Caracitas who played the second.” 

The Bears hope to continue their wining streak when they take on the Indians Tuesday, October 15, at 4:00 p.m. at Rahway High School.
