KENILWORTH, NJ – To celebrate Read Across America Week, on Thursday, March 5, some of the David Brearley Spring Track members went to Harding Elementary School to read to the second graders for the second year in a row. The students were presenting Read Across America for Dr. Seuss. The boys and girls teamed up to read Dr. Seuss, “What Pet Should I Get.” Head coach of the Brearley Boys and Girls Spring Track teams Matthew Pitarresi was thrilled and said they all served as role models in their community. “I am very proud of my team and their willingness to give back to their community.  After reading the story the students created their own pet and connected to the story. The high school athletes even made a pet to share to the students as well."

The athletes who participated were:

Javier Fernandez (JR) (distance runner)
