KENILWORTH, NJ – The Brearley Bears Varsity Football Team, led by Coach Scott Miller ended the September 27, evening game with an incredible win over the Manville Mustangs 46-0. Brearley is now 3-1 on the season. Leading the team to victory Danny Ramos had 5 carries, 65 yards and 2 touchdowns, Anthony Nwosu had 13 carries, 110 yards and 1 touchdown, and Derek Graichen had 11 carries, 94 yards and 4 touchdowns. Mayor Anthony DeLuca, who is also a Brearley football alum had encouraging comments to say about the team. “The boys did an outstanding job. I am proud of each and everyone of our Bears and I commend the coaches on their well-deserved big win. I look forward to next week’s game.”
The next big matchup is against Roselle Park at Roselle Park High School October 4, at 7:00 p.m. The Bears will invade Roselle Park to play for the first time in two years. “We need everyone to be there” Recreation Director Pat Boyle says. “Please wear black as we will create a blackout in RP.”
