KENILWORTH, NJ – Despite the rain, Brearley fans filled the stands to come out and support the team on Friday, September 6, for the home opener. Unfortunately, the Brearley varsity football team lost a tough game against Cedar Grove by a score of 31-7.

Some highlights of the game include a 60-yard punt return made by Antonino Principato giving Brearley a first-and-goal at the Cedar Grove’s 10 yard line.  Quarterback Dan Ramos made the only touchdown pass to Principato on fourth-and-goal from Cedar Grove’s 16 yard line.

The next game will be September 13, at Belvidere High School when Brearley takes on Belvidere at 7 p.m.
