KENILWORTH, NJ – It is the mid-point of the season for the Brearley boys varsity basketball team. The Bears currently stand 7-7 overall. Coach Pat Dunnigan stated “the kids have been working very hard day in and day out and we know we can be better.”

The team lost yesterday, January 28, to Hillside High School 58-42. Adrian Merino had a good game leading the team to score 11 points and Chris Kelley had 8. Dunnigan is still positive that the team’s determination and focus will make a difference the next two games. “Although we have had a few setbacks as of late, we are still in a great position in our section for the state tournament.  We need to continue to keep getting better so that we are playing our best basketball at the end of the season when it is most important.  We have been very grateful for the support of the fans up to this point and we hope that they continue coming out to support the boys and creating great home court environment.”

Today, January 29, the boys will take on Koinonia Academy at 5:30 p.m. at home.
