LINDEN, NJ - The City of Linden is well-known for its Halloween parade, but due to safety concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual parade has been canceled.

“The Halloween committee met throughout the year, hoping to have the parade, however with the safety and best interest of the community in mind, the final decision was to cancel the parade,” said Linden Department of Parks & Recreation Director Ralph Dunhamn in an announcement earlier this week.

Although the parade is no longer taking place, the Mayor and Council, Department of Parks & Recreation, and Halloween Committee thought it was important to provide some sense of normalcy and will still hold Halloween celebrations for residents.
