Linden HS Boys Basketball Team Hosts Online Fundraiser

LINDEN, NJ - Basketball season is officially here and the Linden High School Boys Basketball team kicked things off with a online fundraiser this weekend. 

The fundraiser, which is through the the website www.snap-raise.com, began Saturday. The team hopes to raise $3,000 from this effort.

Donations received from the fundraiser will be used for spirit-wear clothing, team bonding activities, transportation to team bonding activities, and healthy food and snacks for before and after games.

The Linden High School Boys varsity team began practicing officially on November 20.  The first game is scheduled for December 15 at home against Westfield High School.

Local crisis hotline Caring Contact will present a special screening of "Suicide: The Ripple Effect," the remarkable story of Kevin Hines, who at 19 attempted to take his life by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge.
