Rahway Public Library to Explore the Work of James Baldwin, February 10

The Life and Writing of James Baldwin

RAHWAY, NJ - The Rahway Public Library will present; The Life and Writing of James Baldwin, an exploration of Baldwin’s literary and social justice work. Actor/comic Grant Cooper will bring Baldwin’s words to life in dramatic interpretation, complemented by historical context from scholar Dr. Lindsey Swindall. Much like James Baldwin himself, this presentation is a blend of drama, wit, and insight. The audience may feel inspired to become part of this dialogue which examines racism in America and other themes in Baldwin’s writings. This program is funded by the New Jersey Council for the Humanities.

Free of charge and open to the public. Rahway Public Library Auditorium, Saturday, February 10 at 2:00 pm.
