LINDEN, NJ - Linden Police Department will be participating in the Roselle PBA's First Annual Charity Softball Tournament set to take place in Roselle this Saturday.
The game, set for May 19, will be starting at 9 a.m. at Warinanco Park at fields 3,7 and 8.
In the event of inclement weather, the rain date for this game will be the following, which is Saturday, May 26.
Over twelve teams of police officers, firemen, businesses, and others from all over the area will be participating in the event to help raise money for scholarships for students at Roselle’s Abraham Clark High School.
Participating in the event will be Linden PD, Roselle PD, Clark PD, Edison PD, Vernon PD, North Arlington PD, Roselle FD, the Bad Hombres, Carribean Rockies, the Hefferan Agency, Tilted Kilt from Metuchen, Keelen Strong, and Gamers Grit Academy in Kenilworth.
The teams are playing for two prizes. The A division prize is a $400 gift certificate and the B division prize of a $200 gift certificate both to Central Park Restaurant in Roselle who donated the prizes. Central Park, who will also host everyone from the tournament after the game.
