Fall Concert Series: Raíces

UNION COUNTY, NJ - In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Raíces Cultural Center Ensemble will share the folkloric Cuban tradition of Ocha in honor of the ancestors and the Forces of Nature. The folkloric fragments of Ocha are brought to the audience in song, chant, drums, dance and stories. The Raíces Cultural Center Ensemble is comprised of an intergenerational mix of advanced students and professional musicians. The ensemble performs the folkloric traditions of the Caribbean, as well as fusions of these traditions with modern genres.

All ages are welcome at these FREE interactive concerts! Join us for a luncheon after each performance.

Celebration of Black History Month Continues in Union County

UNION COUNTY, NJ - For the past eight years, the Union County Freeholder Board has highlighted Black History Month with the annual Chester Holmes Humanitarian Award in recognition of service to the community.
