LINDEN, NJ - Linden Department of Parks and Recreation is offering two sewing classes this spring for Linden residents only. One for ages 8-12 and the other for adults. Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Learn to Sew-Youth: Participants ages 8-12 learn how to sew using a commercial sewing pattern. Participants begin by sewing simple pull on shorts and a patch pillow. All materials are included in the fee. Students use full size sewing machines. Returning students are encouraged to further develop their sewing skills. The class will be held Tuesdays, April 21-May 26, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the John T. Gregorio Center, 330 Helen St. The fee is $75 for six weeks. Learn to Sew-Adults: In this class participants create the garment of their choice while learning the techniques necessary for successful completion of their project. Students should bring to the first class a clothing sewing pattern for themselves from KWIK SEW or SIMPLICITY brands. Fabric requirements will be discussed during the first class. Sewing machines are provided for use. Returning students are encouraged to further develop their sewing skills. The class will be held Tuesdays, April 21-May 26, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the John T.
