LINDEN, NJ - Linden Department of Parks and Recreation and ShopRite are partnering to offer a cooking class for participants ages 6-12 from Linden. Have fun learning how to cook healthy, easy to cook recipes utilizing different ingredients most people have in their kitchens or that can be easily picked up at your local ShopRite. This class is great for new young chefs. The focus is on learning different skills that can be brought home to use to make themselves meals or get involved in helping with family meals. ShopRite of Linden’s in-store Registered Dietitian, Ryan Farley, will help participants become comfortable with using food and being in the kitchen. Ryan will also answer any nutrition related questions participants may have. The class will be held Friday, March 20, from 5:30-6:45 p.m. at the John T. Gregorio Center, 330 Helen Street. The fee is FREE. Pre-registration is required as space is limited. To register online for youth and adult classes, visit www.linden-nj.org and click on Community Pass.
