LINDEN, NJ - Linden Councilman Armando Medina announced in a statement this afternoon that he is seeking the Democratic nomination but will not run on the Mayor's slate.

Medina's second three-year term is up at the end of 2018.

"This June I will seek the Democratic nomination for 9th Ward Council in the City of Linden. It has been my privilege to represent the 9th Ward since 2013," he wrote.

"The residents of the Ninth Ward expect independent leadership that above all puts the taxpayer first," Medina said. "A few weeks ago, I announced I would run as part of a team headed by Mayor Armstead. Since then, I have heard from many residents and supporters who have expressed their concern about that decision. Specifically, they felt joining the Mayor's team compromised that independence. "

"After much reflection, I have decided not to run on the slate headed by Mayor Armstead and withdraw my support for his slate" Medina said. "I wish them luck in the June Primary."

The conditions under which I read In Cold Blood for the first time were pretty weird, which was another ...

Letter to the Editor: Cease and Desist

March 19, 2018

Dear Editor:

I am writing to you to call attention to the not so quiet whisper campaign of defamation that has been started by the opposition's team against me.  The members of the general public need to know just how low politicians and their supporters will go attempting to dissuade voters from supporting me. The current propaganda that is being spread through social media and ...
