Linden Fire Department Respond to Fire on Wood Avenue

LINDEN, NJ - Linden Fire Department are on the scene of a fire located at 123 North Wood Avenue in Linden, according to the Breaking News Network.

According to preliminary reports, units arrived at the scene and found fire coming from the roof of the building.

Major Road in Linden Will Be Closed for Street Fair on Saturday

LINDEN, NJ - N. Wood Ave will be CLOSED this Saturday, September 29, between Elizabeth Ave & Curtis St from 6 a.m.-10 p.m. for 'September to Remember' Annual Street Fair and Car Show.

Additionally, parking restrictions are in effect on Wood Ave, as well as on W. Blancke St and Knopf St from Wood Ave to Helen St.

Drivers are encouraged to use Roselle St or N.

Linden Man Sentenced to 24 Years for Killing Neighbor

LINDEN, NJ - A Linden man has been sentenced to 24 years in state prison for fatally shooting his neighbor late last year, acting Union County Prosecutor Michael A. Monahan announced Friday.

Shansey Abernathy, 24, was sentenced Friday by state Superior Court Judge Candido Rodriguez, Jr. for being responsible for the death of 27-year-old Alphonso Pearson.
