LINDEN, NJ - A Tuesday shooting that sent a 36-year-old man to the hospital with a gunshot wound is under investigation, according to Linden Police officials.

According to police, on May 12 at approximately 11:00 p.m. officers responded to the 1100 block of East St. George Avenue after reports of shots fired.

While searching the area, officers located the victim suffering from a gun shot wound. He was transported to Newark University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident remains under investigation by the Linden Police Detective Bureau.  Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Juan Velarde at (908) 474-8552.
