ELIZABETH, NJ - Update: 9:35 p.m. Mayor Christian Bollwage has released the following statement on the Black Friday shooting at the Jersey Gardens Mall

"There was an incident earlier this evening at The Mills at Jersey Gardens. A male was shot in the wrist between the hallway of Tommy Hilfiger and Marshall’s. No suspect has been apprehended and the victim is not cooperating on identifying the suspect. Police are reviewing camera footage. The mall has been evacuated and all shoppers are out. No one is in danger at the moment.

The mall has been opened since 10 a.m.yesterday with approximately 25,000 shoppers throughout that time and was set to close at 10 p.m. tonight.

The Jersey Gardens Mall went into lockdown Friday evening at about 8:05 p.m. when it was reported that shots were heard in the area of the food court.
