LINDEN, NJ - Linden Police officials are asking for the public's help to identify suspects from an armed carjacking that took place last Wednesday.

According officials, the incident occurred on the 800 block of Essex Avenue at around 9:00 p.m. 

The suspects reportedly exited a black Ford Mustang, approached the victim, and ordered him to exit his car while brandishing a handgun. The suspects then fled in both vehicles traveling east toward N. Park Avenue.

The Essex County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a similar incident that occurred in Newark on August 1 that may involve the same suspects.

A description was provided of the suspects and they are as follows:

Suspect #1 is described as a dark-skinned black male, between 5’9”-5’10”, approx. 160-170 lbs, wearing a white shirt. Suspect #2 is described as a dark-skinned black male, between 5’9”-5’10”, approx. 160-170 lbs, with long braids pulled back into a ponytail, and wearing a white t-shirt. Suspect #3 is described as a black male, however, no further description could be provided.
