TUCKERTON, NJ-  What does a Southern Ocean County Town have in common with places such as Akumal, Mexico, Placencia, Belize, and Volterra Italy? They were included in a recent list of 20 Beach Towns to retire for $40,000 per year. Tuckerton was featured at number 7, due to availability of housing , proximity to Long Beach Island and a host of local shops and restaurants. The website MoneyPPL also recognized that the average retired American lives on just over $45,000 per year. 

Tuckerton joins domestic beaches as well as the exotic with the list highlighting Corpus Cristi Texas, Morehead City, North Carolina, Pensacola and Daytona Beach Florida. Atlantic City was noted as 17 having New Jersey represented. 

Since the COVID19 pandemic, there has been a tremendous interest in relocation or extended stays in the region. With the beauty of the pines and the bay; it makes Tuckerton a solid choice for those considering retirement as well.
