LIVINGSTON, NJ - This spring came with lots of exciting action in the Newark Academy and Livingston High School sports. Each of these high schools had players selected to the All State Teams for both softball and boys tennis.

For Livingston, Kylie McLaughlin through softball was selected for 1st team all state. Newark Academy students, Ben Hyatt and Noah Sellinger for tennis were also selected for 2nd team all state tennis as doubles partners.

Pat Genova, athletic director of Livingston High School stated about Kylie McLaughlin, “I have been in athletics for 40 years and have never experienced a female student athlete first hand, dominate her sport the way that Kylie did.  I am certain that her teammates always knew that their team always had a chance because Kylie was on their team.  She certainly was a difference maker and all of us will miss her passion and commitment to Lancer athletics.”
