LIVINGSTON, NJ – The Livingston Art Council held its monthly exhibit on Friday, Sept. 12. The theme of the evening was “colors,” and several artists from Livingston and the surrounding area had their pieces on display.
“It’s a perfect evening for a party,” said Irene Feigen, director of the Livingston Arts Council Gallery. “We have music on the patio, we have great refreshments – It’s a perfect meet and greet for people to see the face behind the art.”
The Arts Council chooses a different theme every month and the community at large is invited to enter pieces for consideration of the exhibit. The “colors” exhibit will run until the end of September. “Everything in the gallery is handmade by an artist…” said Feigen, “paintings, jewelry, sculptures, hand blown glass...”
“I’ve been with the gallery since it started and I love being a part of it,” said Anne Michaels, an artist from Short Hills who will also have one of her paintings in a national show in New York City next month.
