Adult Education Series to Begin
No matter how we fight it, we all age. Cantor Howard M. Stahl of Congregation B’nai Jeshurun in Short Hills will present a three-session workshop called Sacred Aging beginning Oct. 16 at 9:45 a.m. The series will address the multitude of questions and challenges to be faced as we age.
The terms “elderly” and “aged” are no longer numerical determinants, but rather attitudinal and health related. Over bagels and coffee, Stahl, a licensed social worker with a specialization in gerontology, and attendees will explore the issues together.
On Oct. 30, at the third session, Stahl will be joined by TBJ social work consultant, Ilana Mazur, LCSW, an eldercare attorney and a geriatric physician. After the panel discussion, the floor will be open for questions.
Members of the community are invited to attend this insightful look at dealing with the golden years.
