LIVINGSTON, NJ — Andy’s Family Music Center of Livingston is proud to highlight 14-year-old Michael Lurie, an eighth grader at Golda Och Academy with an aptitude for piano.
Lurie, who also occasionally plays the saxophone, said his favorite musician and musical influence is Billy Joel. A fan of both rock and pop music, Lurie said he hopes to continue pursuing music in high school and college and often considers trying out the guitar.
He also has yet to write music of his own, but would be interested in doing so in the future.
See Lurie in the video above showcasing his talents on “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen. Lurie is also pictured above with his instructor, Loren O'Donnell.
