Area Chambers of Commerce and League of Women Voters of Montclair Area to Hold Annual “Meet the Mayors” Breakfast on March 23; Keynote Speaker: Ralph A. LaRossa, President & COO, PSE&G

Ten local Chambers of Commerce, including Millburn-Short Hills, North Essex, West Orange, Maplewood, South Orange, Verona, East Orange, Nutley,  Suburban Essex and Livingston, are joining the League of Women Voters (LWV) of the Montclair area as hosts of the annual “Meet the Mayors” Breakfast from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23 at Crane’s Mill, 459 Passaic Ave.,West Caldwell.

Mayors from more than 20 communities from within Essex County have been invited to attend. Guests will have the opportunity to network with local officials and Chamber members.

“We are honored to have PSE&G President Ralph LaRossa as our keynote speaker and look forward to his comments on the recent filing of PSEG’s Energy Strong infrastructure program and the utility’s continuing efforts to provide safe and reliable service to customers,” said Lou LaSalle, Senior Vice President, External Affairs at Barnabas Health.

Government Affairs Committee Chair Denny Klein of Rand, Feuer & Klein, L.L.C noted he is “thrilled to see the communities of Essex County join forces as the voice of business while working with local mayors and corporations such as PSEG.”

North Essex Chamber of Commerce Board Member Anthony Rainone, Esq. of Brach Eichler LLC, is encouraging area residents, business owners and Chamber members join in these important and timely discussions that affect both business and residential communities.   

Helen Faulkner of the League of Women Voters of the Montclair Area, which represents members in most of the participating towns states “We are excited to be returning this year and be part of this important forum. New Jersey has faced extraordinary challenges and faces new changes that will affect everyone in the state. This a rare opportunity for League members, business people, politicians and others to come together to hear about our common concerns.”

Man Stabbed in Valley Section of West Orange

WEST ORANGE – A West Orange man was stabbed Sunday evening during an attack in The Valley section of the township, according to officials.
