LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston Librarians Amanda Winter and Hongmei Liu will read stories in English and Chinese Mandarin on Tuesday Sept. 29 from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. in celebration of Mid Autumn Festival. Children ages 2-9 years old will then create their own lanterns and enjoy a taste of moon cake. No registration is necessary.

During Mid Autumn Festival, families in China and other Asian countries enjoy sharing a special meal together, eating moon cake, and admiring the full moon. This program is part of the Multicultural Celebration Series, which offers children and adults the opportunity to enjoy and learn about different holidays observed by members of the Livingston community. The Multicultural Celebration Series is in its second year and won the 2015 NJ State Library Multicultural Program Award.
