BNE Real Estate Group (, a national real estate development organization with more than 60 years of experience and the parent company of homebuilder Millennium Homes, was honored with six prestigious awards on March 27 at the New Jersey Builders Association’s 2014 Sales and Marketing (SAM) Awards annual banquet at Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City.

Three of BNE’s properties won SAM awards at the event: Twenty50 – a luxury mid-rise rental community in Fort Lee, Vizcaya - a luxury gated community in West Orange, and The Pointe at Turnbury – an active adult townhome community in South Brunswick.

Twenty50 was the big winner for BNE, taking home awards for “Best Brochure for a Rental Community," “Best Interior Merchandising for a Public Space” and “Best Signage for a Rental Community.” Vizcaya won in the “Best Website” and “Best Direct Mail Piece” categories. The Pointe at Turnbury won the “Best Special Promotion” award.

“Our success at the SAM Awards is a testament to the effort the sales and marketing teams of all of our communities put in, the design of our interior spaces, and the overall quality of the product we offer,” said Kristina Hedden, vice president of marketing for BNE Real Estate Group. “The skillful merchandising and marketing of our homes at Twenty50, Vizcaya and The Pointe at Turnbury has allowed us to demonstrate the full potential these homes offer. We are proud to be recognized for our work at three separate communities and we look forward to their continued sales and leasing success.”

Sponsored by the New Jersey Builder’s Association, the SAM Awards recognizes the year’s most creative and successful residential programs within New Jersey. The event, in its 27th installment, caps the New Jersey Builder’s Association’s annual Atlantic Builders Convention, held in Atlantic City.

In addition to the award-winning trio of properties honored at the SAM Awards, Livingston-based BNE Real Estate Group builds and manages properties across the country. The company boasts a track record in virtually every type of product category, from low- and high-rise apartments to luxury townhouses and single-family homes to mixed-use developments. A number of projects are currently in development, including Warren at York in Jersey City’s Paulus Hook neighborhood, which is scheduled to open in April.

Extra Time

It was close to 70 minutes into the match and I had to go to the bathroom.  Badly.

As fans watching the World Cup know too well, bathroom breaks are a serious dilemma, especially for those who don’t have a TV in the loo.  This biological necessity is exasperated by beer, which during World Cup matches also fuels a strong propensity to throw chairs and instigate riots.
