LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston erased an early deficit with a big second quarter and went on to post a 55-27 boys basketball victory over Newark Collegiate on Monday.

Sam Smith knocked down four 3-pointers and scored a team-high 12 points for Livingston (5-8), which outscored Collegiate, 18-6, in the second quarter to take a 23-15 halftime lead. 

Luke Cohen finished with 10 points for the Lancers, who put the game out of reach with a 22-5 showing in the third quarter.
