LIVINGSTON, NJ -- The Livingston boys lacrosse team scored six unanswered goals in the first half and went on to a 10-4 victory over Morristown in the opening round of the North Jersey, Group 4 state tournament on Wednesday.
Luke Nardone scored three goals and assisted on one for Livingston (10-9), which led, 6-0, at the half and 9-1 after three quarters. Tommy Werner scored two goals and had three assists and Trevor Dzama and Brian Russo each scored two goals for the Lancers.
Marco Fusari won 14 of 17 faceoffs for Livingston and collected seven ground balls. Jack Schrieber contributed one goal and Brandon Shevins came up with eight saves in the victory.
