Livingston Town Council candidate Brandon Minde previously served as Executive Director of the New Jersey Government Records Council, where he ran the state agency that adjudicates complaints filed under the Open Public Records Act concerning denials of access to government records by public records custodians, issues advisory opinions as to disclosure of public records, prepares guidelines for use in complying with the law, and delivers instructional training on the OPRA law to government officials and the public.
Brandon has presented OPRA seminars at the NJ State Bar Association Annual Convention, the NJ State League of Municipalities Annual Conference, and for several County Police Academies.
If elected to the Town Council this November, Brandon Minde pledges to bring a culture of government transparency to the Town Council: “I believe in the philosophy that instead of requiring residents to jump through hoops to get information, our local government should be pushing out as much information as possible to its residents.”
