LIVINGSTON, NJ — Camp Deeny Riback (CDR), the premiere Jewish Day Camp in New Jersey, has begun construction on a brand new pool. This state-of-the-art aquatic facility will make its debut in time for the 2016 summer-camp season.

Designed and constructed by New Jersey-based Green Outlook, the $1 million aquatic facility will feature a newly heated pool with swim lanes, slide and volleyball net as well as newly landscaped open areas for play. Funding is coming from generous private donors and the pool will be named at the groundbreaking in the spring of 2016.

“We are thrilled to see construction begin on what will be a welcome addition to the Camp Deeny Riback campus,” said Larry Rein, Chairman, Board of Trustees. “Swimming is an important part of a child’s camp experience and this new aquatic center will fit right in with all CDR has to offer.”

Camp Deeny Riback is an integral component of JCC MetroWest, and provides a safe, fun-filled, Jewish day-camp experience for campers Pre-K through Grade 10. Through innovative programming, campers are encouraged to build new skills, learn to problem solve and improve self-confidence. Within the safety of the program, campers gain an appreciation of their rich Jewish heritage and their place in the Jewish community.

CDR interweaves the excitement of summer with the magic of camp on a beautiful 35-acre facility in Flanders, NJ. Nurturing staff and imaginative programming create memorable experiences that enhance campers' growth and development. CDR’s goal is to enable each camper to grow in an atmosphere that promotes integrity, self-esteem, positive values and good sportsmanship.
