WEST ORANGE, NJ — Groundbreaking took place on April 28 for a new medical office building for Care Station Medical Group near their current location at 456 Prospect Avenue in West Orange.

Hollister Construction Services, a construction company specializing in healthcare, corporate, educational, industrial, retail and residential construction, is in charge of the construction.

Care Station Medical Group decided to replace its current facility with a new 9,000 square foot two-story facility on the current site next to the existing structure. When complete, staff and operations will relocate to their new location and the vacant facility will be demolished and turned into a new parking lot. The new facility is scheduled to open Fall 2016.

Care Station’s new, expanded home will occupy the full first floor of the building and will feature multiple exam and x-ray rooms, staff areas, reception lobby and waiting area. The facility’s second floor will be unoccupied and available for lease.

“We understand that healthcare facilities have unique operational requirements, and our goal is to deliver a superior quality facility that meets the needs of the owners, staff and patients," said Tony Bienert, project executive with Hollister Construction Services. "Our previous projects have given us the knowledge base necessary to deliver reliable and consistent results.”

Hollister has managed the construction of similar facilities for Vanguard Medical, Lakeland Healthcare Center, Essex Specialized Surgical Institute, Oakhurst Medical and most recently the Endoscopy Center of Queens. In addition, Hollister will soon commence the construction of a 45,000 square foot healthcare facility in Livingston, NJ, known as LifeTown.

Extra Time

It was close to 70 minutes into the match and I had to go to the bathroom.  Badly.

As fans watching the World Cup know too well, bathroom breaks are a serious dilemma, especially for those who don’t have a TV in the loo.  This biological necessity is exasperated by beer, which during World Cup matches also fuels a strong propensity to throw chairs and instigate riots.
