Gregory Gamba of 173 Laurel Ave went to court last week for two different charges.  On July 30, Gamba reported a suspicious vehicle driving very slowly past 2 Hastings Lane being operated by two black males.  On July 31, Gamba also reported a burglary and a theft at 2 Hastings Lane.

Police responded to both calls and after investigating deemed them both to be false.

For reporting a suspicious vehicle, the court amended the charge to a town ordinance for creating disturbance and charges for the false burglary and theft report were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

Gamba was required to pay a $750 fine plus $33 court cost.

Karla Najarro, 22, of West Orange was also seen in court on Thursday for a DWI and Careless Driving charge.

On May 29, Najarro was in a car accident on Springbrook Lane.  According to Livingston Police, she was driving at what appeared to be a high rate of speed when she lost control at a curve near number 46. She hit the driveway lamppost on one side of the street and then crossed to the other side of the street and hit a utility pole.

Najarro was fined $256 plus $33 court cost, $75 to the Safe Neighborhood Fund and a $200 DWI surcharge.

She also loses her license for three months and is required to complete 12 hours at the Intoxicated Driver’s Resource Center.
