ADAPT: The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Team of Essex County announced the start of their “What Keeps You Drug and Alcohol Free?” Poster Contest which runs through May 15, 2013.  ADAPT invites students in grades 6 through 12 throughout Essex County to submit their creative artwork promoting a drug- and alcohol-free lifestyle. 

A group of judges will select three winners from grades 6-8 and three winners from grades 9-12.  Two grand prize winners will win an iPod Nano and a $100 gift card.  Two second place winners will win a $100 gift card.  Three third place winners will win a $50 gift cards.  ADAPT will display all winning posters in different venues throughout Essex County.

“This contest gives students an opportunity to send an inspiring message to residents throughout Essex County.  Their artwork has the potential to change the life of a fellow community member by promoting ways to stay safe and healthy by being drug- and alcohol-free,” said ADAPT Coordinator Joel Torres.
