EAST HANOVER, NJ - Friends of the Library is hosting “Friends of the Livingston Library Day” at T.G. I. Friday’s in East Hanover on May 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. T.G.I. Friday’s will donate 20 percent of all bills for patrons showing a Friends Benefit Day flyer, to the Friends of the Library.
Friends Board member Teresa Allard said that this is the third T.G.I. Friday’s Benefit Day that Friends is doing, following the success of the first two events.
“Friends looks to partner with others in ‘win-win’ ways and this is a good example,” she said. “Patrons can enjoy a fun meal and help Friends.”
There is an added incentive this year for patrons participating in this event. They will receive a complimentary item from the Friends of the Library Ongoing Book Sale, by dropping their May 21 receipt from TGI Friday’s East Hanover, in the cash box, in lieu of payment for any book or non-print media item.
Flyers for the event are available HERE (Note: click Friends of the Library Day at T.G.I.) The flyer is also available at the Friends desk in the library lobby and can be printed from the photo gallery above.
Proceeds from Friends Day are used by Friends to support programs and services not covered by the Library’s budget from the township including the Children’s/Teens’ Summer Reading Program, Yoga for Kids, author events, the Museum Pass Program, Music Matters, Think Theater, Literary Liaisons, lifelong learning lectures and the E-Reader Experience, which permits patrons to borrow e-readers with pre-loaded books for children and adults, the monthly subscription to Book Page and more.
