LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston Public Library will present "Gardens in Bloom” on May 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Program Room at the library.
Noted photographer, Walter Choroszewski, retraces the path taken in creating his award-winning book, THE GARDEN STATE IN BLOOM.
This program showcases Choroszewski's 25 favorite pubic gardens with colorful photography and historical information about each garden. He will take the audience on a tour of his 25 favorite pubic gardens in the state, with colorful photography and historical information about each garden.
Choroszewski was born in northeastern Pennsylvania. After graduating from Penn State, Choroszewski moved to New York City, where his first jobs in environmental education led him to a new career path in photography. His first major assignment came in 1980 when he was commissioned by a book publisher to do a photo essay on New Jersey.
"NEW JERSEY, A Scenic Discovery” was published in 1981 and established his photographic identity and lifelong link to the Garden State. He was the primary photographer of the New Jersey state tourism campaigns through the 1980s, 1990s and he continues to supply the state with stock photos today. I
n 1985, the Choroszewski family moved to New Jersey and started Aesthetic Press, Inc. to publish regional books and calendars. Choroszewski has photographed and produced 17 photographic books and numerous wall calendars. I
n addition to location photography, Choroszewski is also an award-winning graphic designer. He continues to promote a positive image for New Jersey through his creativity and public speaking and popular school presentations and is a leading advocate of state pride.
Choroszewski and his wife, Susan, live in Somerset County, New Jersey. This program is free and all adults and young adults are welcome to attend. Registration is not required.
