LIVINGSTON, NJ - Girls on the Run New Jersey East invites the public to its upcoming Girls at the Green Golf & Dinner Invitational - “Empowering Women Through Golf,” to be hosted by AEPG® Wealth Strategies on Thursday, May 11 at Cedar Hill Golf & Country Club in Livingston.

Kevin Cummings, President and CEO of Investors Bank, will be honored for his dedication to the community and his commitment to Girls on the Run.

Girls on the Run is a non-profit, youth development program that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident. Proceeds from the golf event will help Girls on the Run to strengthen its programs and expand its reach in local underserved communities by providing additional scholarship funding, allowing more girls to participate.

The event has a secondary purpose: to encourage women to use golf as a form of exercise and a networking tool.

“Girls on the Run is a great organization that inspires girls to recognize their power and responsibility to be intentional in our decision making,” said Chris Schiffer, AEPG® Executive Vice President and COO. “My daughter participated and I believe it has helped make her a confident young women. Empowering women to take up golf is an extension of that mission.”

Both men and women are invited to participate on the green and in supporting an important cause—empowering young girls. Whether a golf pro or new to the game, there is something to be enjoyed.
