WEST ORANGE, NJ — The Livingston girls soccer team had a second-half comeback against one of the county’s strongest teams in West Orange on Thursday that led the Lancers and Mountaineers into a scoreless double overtime to ultimately tie at 2-2.
With 10 wins and three ties, West Orange girls soccer has yet to lose a game this season. Kaylese Gist and Kiara Machuca had a goal apiece on Thursday with assists from Samantha Herbert and Natalie Nevins. Herbert also tallied five saves in goal for the Mountaineers.
After a scoreless first half for the Lancers, a goal apiece from Tori Belcuore and Sarah Miller tied the game at 2-2 heading into overtime. Ashley Reuter also added an assist for the Lancers and goalkeeper Jocelyn McCauley tallied two saves in goal.
The tie brings West Orange to an overall record of 10-0-3 on the season and Livingston to a record of 5-5-1.
