As Board Secretary Sue Cone said, “The biggest benefit is probably the satisfaction of knowing that you are supporting our wonderful library. Use the discounts often enough, and membership pays for itself.”

Memberships, which run a year from the date of initial/renewed membership, are offered at different levels and make great gifts.

Further information and membership forms are also available online (http://livingston.bccls.org/friends.html and the https://www.facebook.com/friendsofthelivingstonlibrary) and at the Library. Memberships can also by purchased by mail (Friends of the Livingston Library, 10 Robert Harp Drive, Livingston, NJ 07039).

Friends, a non-profit organization, provides crucial funding for many Livingston Library programs and services not covered by the township budget. Examples of the events and services the organization supports include: the Summer Reading Program for Children and Teens; the Museum Pass Program; Guest Speaker Series; the E-Reader Experience, which allows patrons to borrow an e-reader pre-loaded with books for children or adults; and the purchase of hundreds of books and non-print media.

For further information, please call 973-992-4600 x505 or visit the FOTLL website or Facebook page listed above.
