LIVINGSTON, NJ - The West Essex Y recently received a grant to help home bound seniors regain some independence. Seniors who are recovering from medical problems at home and are not quite ready to venture out on their own again, may be able to receive a helping hand from our in home Y trainers.
Exercises are introduced, which help older adults regain their balance and functional mobility. Healthy social interaction is also an important part of the program.
“We’re delighted to be reaching out to an important generation in our community, and helping them to maintain happy and productive lives,” said Associate Executive Director of the West Essex Y Cheryl Francione.
The program is free for those who qualify. For more information or to set up an at-home assessment, contact Barbara Santola at: 973-992-7500 x105 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
