WEST ORANGE, NJ — The Livingston High School varsity ice hockey team saw it first win of the 2021 season on Monday night at the Richard J. Codey Arena, where the Lancers dominated early over Verona-Glen Ridge for a 6-1 victory.

Michael Mumm led the team with two goals and two assists, and goalie Zachary Turbin had an outstanding game in the net with 29 saves.

Lenny Kanchik, Danny Grossbard and Cade Prendergast each tallied one goal and one assist, and Austin Vecchio also scored during the match. Additional assists came from Mitchell Hersch, Andrew Qian, Ryan Zales and Tyler Schultz.

After losing their opening game against West Essex on Friday, 3-0, the Lancers tied Oratory Prep on Saturday, 1-1, in an away game.

Later this week, Livingston will take on Millburn at Codey Arena and Montclair at Clary Anderson Arena.
