ICE HOCKEY: Livingston Shuts Out Glen Rock, 2-0

HACKENSACK, NJ — Livingston senior Matthew Delseni made 24 saves in goal to secure a Livingston ice hockey shutout against Glen Rock, 2-0, on Saturday in Hackensack—bringing the Lancers to 10-3-4 on the season and 3-2-2 in their division.

Conor Flaherty and Chase Friedfertig scored in the first and second period, respectively, to earn the victory. Glen Rock’s Ryan McAuley made 12 saves compared to Delsini’s 24.

This was the Lancers’ third consecutive win in the last week with victories over Madison and Brick.

Friedfertig scored five out of the 10 goals in a 10-0 shutout against Brick early in the week. He also had two goals and two assists for Livingston in the 4-2 win over Madison.

The Lancers will take on Montclair Kimberley Academy on Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. at Clary Anderson Arena.  The next home game at Codey Arena in West Orange will be played on Saturday at 3:45 p.m. against Governor Livingston.
