Toyota USA's New York Parts Distribution Center in West Caldwell, NJ is working with InSync Wellness to provide a healthier environment for its employees by providing yoga classes prior to work hours as part of Toyota USA's Health and Wellness initiative.

Glenda Serrano, certified Yoga teacher, holistic nutritionist, life coach and Belleville resident has designed 20 minute yoga classes for Toyota’s employees. Toyota encourages their employees to attend although it is not mandatory. "I can't remember ever having so many associates come to me and thank us for something,” stated Eric Bramalage, Operations Manager New York Parts Distribution Center. “I am looking forward to the remainder of the yoga classes.”

Ms. Serrano's own experience of the positive effects of a yoga and integrative nutrition led her to seek training in these fields so she could offer the benefits to others. “The benefits of doing yoga are many! Yoga helps you to relax, de-stress, focus and slow down, just to name a few,” Ms. Serrano explained. “In this fast paced, do all, be all world, yoga is a time-in, instead of time-out. Time getting in sync with your mind and your body.”

In addition to corporate programs, Ms. Serrano offers yoga and nutrition counseling for weight loss and stress reduction in both personalized one-on-one and group settings such as churches, community organizations and support groups. “Yoga is a powerful method of exercise. In just one class you will feel the undeniable power of yoga,” Ms. Serrano concludes.
