LIVINGSTON, NJ - The St. Mary Armenian Church of Livingston and the Jewish Federation of Metro West of Whippany held an Interfaith Faith Youth Event in Livingston on May 17.  The focus of the event was to discuss the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the Holocaust, and to forge new relationships with a pledge to continue bringing awareness to the Armenian Genocide and the Holocaust.

The youths took part in discussion groups dealing with past and current events and viewed videos on the Genocide and the Holocaust. The day was culminated by a planting of Forget Me Nots—the global symbol of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, and the tolling of the St. Mary Church bell 100 times to the singing of “Let There Be Peace on Earth.”
