LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston police confirmed that at approximately 10 a.m. on Monday, Newark Academy received a phone call from a male stating that a bomb was placed inside the school.

Livingston Police responded along with the Essex County Bomb Squad and the Essex County Prosecutor's Office. According to police, the students at the school were safely evacuated and a search was conducted in and outside the school.

Police said the building was deemed safe and the students were returned to the school. The investigation is continuing.
