LONG VALLEY, NJ - Jed Buck, Owner and Director of Meadowbrook Day Camp in Long Valley, NJ was awarded the American Camp Association's (ACA) National Service Award at the association's National Conference in New Orleans. The ACA is a community of Camp professionals who, for over 100 years, have joined together to share knowledge and experience and to ensure the quality of Camp programs. The National Service Award is designed to recognize continued and increasing service beyond the field/affiliate office level.

Buck is extremely involved in the ACA at both the local and national level. He has held many positions and been involved in various ways throughout his 10+ years as a camp Owner and Director. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the NY/NJ Affiliate of ACA, he serves on the National Standards Commission, and he is the Chair of the Tri-State Camp Conference, the largest Camp Conference in the Country.

Upon receiving the award, Buck stated, "I am very honored to receive this recognition. I believe in the power of camp to change lives and my involvement in ACA is focused on making the best possible camp experience available to as many children as possible."

Buck’s Camp, Meadowbrook Day Camp, which he owns and operates along with his wife Roz, who grew up in Livingston, is located on a 50-acre setting in Long Valley. Meadowbrook's traditional Day Camp program serves children aged three-14 from Morris, Essex, Union, Sussex, Warren, Hunterdon, Middlesex, and Somerset counties. Meadowbrook offers a very wide selection of Athletics, Creative Arts, Nature, and Special Events, in addition to a Swim Program and a High and Low Ropes Course, complete with a Climbing Wall and 30-foot tall Zip Line.
