SOUTH ORANGE – JESPY has announced its 20th Annual Community Appreciation Dinner, which will take place Thursday, May 16 at Giorgio's Ristorante, 52 Vose Ave, in South Orange. The dinner is JESPY’s way of giving back to those in the local community who have made a difference in the lives of its clients.
This year’s honorees include NJTV News for their educational and eye-opening feature on Aging with Disabilities in NJ; Catherine Fischer, owner of Sadie’s and Kitchen a la Mode, who has provided JESPY clients with job training and employment opportunities; BCB Bank for their ongoing collaboration with JESPY House; and Jackie Podhurst, owner of Jackie & Son Restaurant, who has also provided employment for JESPY clients.
Past honorees include the South Orange Police Department; the Village of South Orange; South Orange Fire Department; the South Orange Rescue Squad; Seton Hall University; UPS Store; Stop & Shop; CVS; South Orange Animal Hospital; and the South Orange Elks.
