WEST ORANGE, NJ - More than 4,000 people are anticipated on Sunday, May 3 for The Susan G. Komen North Jersey Race for the Cure on at the Essex County South Mountain Recreation Complex in West Orange.
The main mission of the day is to join together and “race to beat breast cancer.”
Network TV personality Joan Lunden, an award-winning journalist, author and former host of ABC-TV’s Good Morning America, is headlining this year’s Race Day; Lunden made her fight with breast cancer public last fall. Lunden will be making an appearance in the Survivor Tent to meet-and-greet survivors, and will speak during the Survivor Celebration.
The USATF Timed Run begins at 7:30 a.m. The Kids for The Cure Color Run begins at 8:30 a.m. The 5K walk and 1.5M Fun Walk will begin at 10 a.m.
