July 4th Celebration on Memorial Oval

LIVINGSTON, NJ – The Livingston Fourth of July Committee and the Livingston Council are hosting the 78th annual celebration this year on the Memorial Oval. This coming Friday, all are welcomed at the all day affair to “Come Early & Stay Late.”

The Patriotic Ceremony will be held at Haines pool at 10 a.m. All afternoon programs and events, starting at noon will be held at the Oval. These activities include free pony rides, games and an ice-cream eating contest. CBS-FM is also attending to provide music and give away prizes.

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que will be at the celebration this year during the afternoon grilling ribs, brisket, pulled pork and wings in addition to all of the usual barbecue favorites.

Guests over 21 are able to enjoy a beverage at the “Bands and Beer Café” which is featuring The Stiff Joints, The Red Light Band and Livingston Leo.

The fireworks finish off the Fourth of July Celebration at 9:15 p.m. If there is a change in the schedule due to inclement weather decisions will be made at 2 p.m. Friday.
