Labor Day Reminders for Township of Livingston


LIVINGSTON, NJ — In honor of the Labor Day holiday, all township offices and Livingston Town Hall will be closed on Monday.

There will also be no garbage or recycling pick-up on that day. In addition, the Livingston Express Shuttle will not run on Labor Day.

Garbage Collection: If garbage is regularly collected on Monday, garbage will be picked up on the next regularly scheduled day, which is Thursday, Sept. 7.

Recycling Collection: Collection for all homes in Livingston will move forward one day all week. Therefore, Monday’s recycling will instead be picked up on Tuesday, Sept. 5; Tuesday’s recycling moves to Wednesday, Sept. 6; Wednesday’s recycling moves to Thursday, Sept. 7; Thursday’s recycling moves to Friday, Sept. 8; and Friday’s recycling will be picked up on Saturday, Sept. 9.
